I’ve been coming here for years and have always said this is one of the best, consistently good fish and chip take aways in the area. But you don’t come here for atmosphere or the looks of the place, it’s the food which has always been good and great value. The portions have always been known to be generous so been warned if you order large chips. It’s that traditional retro take away that has good character and the basic menu which is perfect, no frills or fancy extras but all you need if you’re after decent fish and chips take away. It’s clearly a family run business and they have always been nice and welcoming to me, and more than happy to cook you fresh if the size isn’t want you after in the counter. It’s cash only, so take note, literally and expect a little queue on Fridays.

Just been referred to Beri’s Place, by a local. Very good, best fish and chips I’ve had for a few years. It’s a new shop and new staff out to impress and make a name. Great food, large portions, at very reasonable prices. Well Done Beri. 👍

This is the first time that we have ordered from Beri’s as l had been recommended to it. The fish and chips arrived within the time stated lovely and hot, and the best fish and chips l have tasted in a long time, not too oily, done to perfection. Will be returning soon.

This place does have the best chips in the U.K amazing cold too. The fish portions are adequate but could be better. The last time I had this was 20 years ago and the quality remains. The same people run it. Wow, they didn’t recognise me. Super stomach filler. Won’t be disappointed
